The Galagapi (Go) is an ancient strategic table game, invented in China and considered as a pearl of the Oriental culture.
Being improved and modernized in Japan, the game was widely spread and popularized all over the world, as well as in Azerbaijan.
Unlike other countries, the game was played not with black and white stones, but with black and white raisins. Therefore, the game is also called “the Game of raisins” in Azerbaijan.
In contrast to other table games, starting the game by blacks results in putting of black stone on the “heart” of the rival. Instead, a few black stones at the first move to opponent is considered as a kind of balancing forces in the “war field” then turn passes to whites.
Players can put their stones at any free cell. It is recommended to make meaningful and strategic moves.
