Ganja unrest has nothing to do with believers and true religious people, MP

Baku, July 11, AZERTAC

“The people of Ganja have always stood by our independent state and statehood, and have never succumbed to provocations. The unrest has nothing to do with believers and true religious men because although the religion in our country is separate from the state, the state created equal conditions for all religions and does not interfere in their affairs,” MP, corresponding member of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Musa Gasimli has told AZERTAC as he commented on yesterday`s events in Ganja.

“However, those who want to cause unrest forget that today the Azerbaijani state is very powerful and capable of preventing all provocations. And the people of Azerbaijan support and rely on President Ilham Aliyev, whom they placed high confidence in, and they will never give way to disruptive forces. The will of our nation is above everything else,” MP Gasimli added.
