Georgia’s former Gov’t Administration Head Ilia Darchiashvili appointed new Foreign Minister

Ilia Darchiashvili, the former Head of the Government Administration of Georgia, has been appointed the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili announced on Monday in a press briefing, according to Agenda.ge.
The PM said Darchiashvili would take over the work from Zalkaliani, who has been appointed Georgia’s Ambassador to the United States.
Darchiashvili is a graduate of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Grenoble Business School in France.
