Baku, June 19, AZERTAC

Ineke van Schoor, Julie van Gelder and Kaat Dumarey won Belgium's first gold at the Baku 2015 European Games by claiming the women's group all-around title in Acrobatic Gymnastics on Friday morning.

"Gold in the all-around is the most prestigious medal. It makes you a real Baku 2015 champion," said Van Schoor after the Belgians won by more than a point in the final at the National Gymnastics Arena.

Van Gelder said: "It means you're good at everything, all three routines."

Russian trio Valeriia Belkina, Yulia Nikitina and Zhanna Parkhometc took silver with 85.430 points, while the bronze went to Belarus on 84.610 points.

After performing their first two exercises on Wednesday, the Belgians had a 0.912 lead over Russia before they performed their final routine on Friday.

Van Schoor, Van Gelder and Dumarey then performed a solid combined exercise and finished with a total 86.480 points.

The women's group balance and dynamic finals will take place on Sunday.
