Head of EU Delegation to Azerbaijan: BTK railway increases importance of Baku port

Baku, November 21, AZERTAC
“Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway adds to the importance of the Baku port,” Kestutis Jankauskas, Head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, has told journalists.
He said the railway will play an important role in cargo and passenger transportation from Asia to Europe, as well as in developing of strategic ties.
“Azerbaijan enjoys a strategic location on the intersection of TRACECA transport projects linking North with South and East with West, and geographical location allows Azerbaijan to become a hub, a logistics center of transit cargo transportation,” Jankauskas added.
