Heydar Aliyev Grant Program established in Azerbaijan

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed an order to found the Heydar Aliyev Grant Program.
The program will provide 100 grants for 5 years to study at preparatory courses and pursue bachelor’s (core (basic higher) medical education), master’s and PhD degrees at the higher educational institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The eligible students include the citizens of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Non-Aligned Movement member countries as well as the Small Island Developing States and the countries where peoples and national minorities with ethnic, historical and cultural links with the Azerbaijani people live.
The Grant Program will cover tuition fee, expenses related to visa, registration, accommodation, daily meals, books, transportation (except for taxi), utilities, medical assistance and travel to homeland once a year.
