ILHAM ALIYEV MET WITH PARTICIPANTS OF THE WORLD CONGRESS OF RUSSIAN PRESS

Prime-Minister of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev met, September 20, in the Yacht-club with the participants of the Fifth World Congress of Russian Press being held in Baku.

Welcoming the guests warmly and cordially, Prime-Minister Ilham Aliyev expressed his satisfaction with the fact of conducting such an important event in the capital of Azerbaijan.

He dwelled on political, economic and social reforms being carried out Azerbaijan, and conditions created in the country for the mass media. According to him, as a result of the far-sighted policy of President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, citizens - representatives of all ethnic and religious groups feel comfortable in Azerbaijan.

Addressing the meeting, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Eleonora Mitrofanova, Director General of ITAR-TASS Vasiliy Ignatenko, Head of Kazakh news Agancy “Khabar” Dariga Nazarbayeva and others have thanked Ilham Aliyev for the meeting, and updated him on the work of the Congress. They emphasized that all necessary conditions had been created in Azerbaijan for the press representatives, and the country has made great progress in economic and social spheres.

After the meeting Prime-Minister Ilham Aliyev has had his picture taken with the Congress participants.
