INOGATE ESIB to comment on energy efficiency bill in Azerbaijan in June
Baku, April 22 (AZERTAC). A project on “Energy Saving Initiative in the Building Sector in Eastern Europe and Central Asia” (ESIB) of INOGATE program of the European Union is preparing to make the fresh recommendations for beneficiary countries.
The Baku-based INOGATE ESIB office informs that the Analysis of the legal framework in the field of energy efficiency in the buildings of the INOGATE ESIB partner countries will be ready earlier this June.
"The comments on the Draft Framework Law on Energy Efficiency & Rational Use of Energy in Azerbaijan will be given as well,” the project office said.
The draft law on energy efficiency was prepared within the framework of the European Union program "Promoting reforms in the energy sector of Azerbaijan" and is currently being discussed by the government.
Earlier Roberto Lo Cicero Vaina, head of project "Energy Saving Initiative in the Building Sector in Eastern Europe and Central Asia (ESIB) of INOGATE program of the European Union”, stated of a possibility to preparation of comments to the bill in March 2013, but this did not happen in practice. At least 20 standard acts should be passed along with the bill in the package, although in the future their number could be much more.
The Project realization is to finish at the end of 2013.
