In accordance with the Instruction of President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan Ramil Usubov visited Barda and Agdam regions of Azerbaijan on August 28-29 to get acquainted with construction and accomplishment works, problems of the population, including IDPs, and take part in the opening ceremony of some establishments.

During the meetings attended by thousands of people, it was mentioned with satisfaction that six new modern schools and two bridges have been built; over 10 artesian wells have been drilled in these regions. A well-equipped X-ray department has been opened in Agdam Regional Central Hospital. As a result, more than 2 thousand students will study in new schools, and more than thousand families will be supplied with drinking water; medical service will also be improved.

Speakers stressed that people unanimously approve the appointment of Ilham Aliyev, hose many-sided activity as the Milli Majlis deputy, First Vice-President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the National Olympic Committee, Deputy Chairman and Bureau member of the CE Parliament Assembly, and successes in all spheres create faith that as a Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, he will make greater contribution to prosperity of the country and people.

Residents of Barda and Agdam emphasized they would take an active part in the upcoming presidential elections, and vote unanimously for the most worthy nominee.

Minister of Internal Affairs Ramil Usubov expressed his satisfaction with his visit to Barda and Agdam regions and the work done here, and told about the result of the reforms held for the last decade in Azerbaijan under the leadership of the Head of State. He said construction of schools and various social establishments, as well as measures to satisfy the needs of the population will be continuing in these regions, which have a special place in the country’s life.
