INTERNATIONAL BUS ROUTES INCREASING

Bus communication connects the capital of Azerbaijan with close foreign countries. Thousands of bus passengers start for the Russian Federation, Georgia, Iran and Turkey every day.
Currently, busses from Baku go to the Russian Federation’s Moscow, St, Petersburg, Rostov, Samara, Krasnodar, Astrakhan and other cities; to Ukrainian city of Kharkov, Georgian cities of Tbilisi and Marneuli; to Islamic Republic of Iran - Tehran and Tabriz; to Turkey - Istanbul and other towns, Baku International and Urban Bus Station reports. The Company is planning to open new bus routes by the end of 2003.
Some preparatory work is being done to open new bus communication with Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic this year.
