On July 9, a 2-day international conference, entitled “GUUAM countries: cultural corridor” has been opened at the “Crescent Beach” hotel by the organizational support of Culture Ministry of Azerbaijan and UNESCO. The conference participants focused on the reports “From cultural ties to long-term cultural collaboration”, “Material and immaterial cultural heritage as a common property of mankind”, “Interaction of different cultural and religious traditions at the national and international levels”.The plenary session of the conference was attended by Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Vilayat Guliyev, Culture Minister Polad Bulbuloglu and representative Department of Cultural Policy and Dialogue among cultures Under UNESCO secretariat Bernard Jacob. Keynoters to the session were Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov, chairman of the State Committee on work with the religious structures Rafig Aliyev and Deputy Culture Minister of Georgia Zurab Gikashvili.
