IRANIAN COMPANIES SUPPORT PROJECTS OF AZENERGY
Six projects of Azenergy Company on new electric transmission lines in the territory of Azerbaijan have been discussed and approved by the Iranian companies Tavanir and Sanir Co, press-service of Azenergy reports.
It was pointed out that the feasibility study of laying new lines in the territory of the republic was submitted to the Iranian companies. It gives an opportunity to increase energetic exchange between the two countries from 200 megawatt up to 600 megawatt.
The negotiations on these projects will go on end-September at the scheduled meeting of energetic companies’ heads of the two countries. A wide range of issues on deepening and widening of inter-systemic cooperation as well as preparation and implementation of new projects is to be discussed at the meeting.
It should be remarked that the annual electric power exchange between Azerbaijan and Iran within the framework of bilateral relations comes to 600-700 million kwt/hr.
