Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan Eytan Naye, second secretary of the Embassy Anatoly Livshitz, director of the trade-economic relations department Rafael Abbasov, and representatives of the international cooperation center MASIAV have visited Shamkir region of Azerbaijan, where the guests met with agricultural specialists, farmers, entrepreneurs and scholars.

In the course of meeting, the parties had exchange of views on fruit processing and reached an agreement on setting links between the entrepreneurs of the region and Israeli businessmen.

Ambassador of Israel reminded the exclusive role of President Heydar Aliyev in creation of favorable conditions for free entrepreneurship, saying that the government of Israel had allotted a grant for 15 Shamkir businessmen to have agricultural courses in Israel. Relevant documents on grant were presented to the head of the executive power Aslan Aslanov.

The guests toured the region, visited the stadium built on the initiative of Prime Minister Ilham Aliyev.
