Indian ambassador visits Astara and Lankaran districts

Ambassador of India to Azerbaijan Sanjay Rana has visited the country`s Astara and Lankaran districts.

He was informed about the efforts for comprehensive development of agriculture production and infrastructure created for the North-South Transport Corridor that will connect India and other countries of Asia with Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran. The ambassador also visited the new sea-side boulevard constructed in Astara to develop the tourism potential.

Sanjay Rana also visited the citrus fruits plantation of Gilan Holding, Green East paddy fields, Canub Agro paddy processing plant in Lankaran and Yashil Chai Tea plantations. He visited the production plant of Lankaran Mechaniklashdirma well known for producing high quality boilers and heating machinery. The ambassador visited Hirkan National Park where he was briefed on the flora and fauna of this important national reserve and the tourism potential of the region with several water springs and famous Khanbulan water reservoir.
