Indonesian delegation pays tribute to national leader Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani martyrs

Baku, September 8, AZERTAC

A delegation led by Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly Oesman Sapta Odang has today visited the Alley of Honors to lay flowers at the tomb of national leader, founder and architect of modern Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev.

The delegation also put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

The Indonesian delegation then visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country`s independence and territorial integrity.

In a brief talk with journalists, Sapta Odang said: “Our main goal is to strengthen relationship with Azerbaijan. We’ll hold some meetings and define prospects for our future relations.”

“We closely follow the development of Azerbaijan and support it on the international arena. Azerbaijan and Indonesia are always eager to help each other,” he added.
