Inter Milan beat Napoli 2-0 Tuesday to hold on to second place in the penultimate round of the Italian Serie A, according to DPA.
Atalanta had temporarily gone second through an earlier 2-1 win at Parma and sit one point adrift before meeting Inter in the weekend's season ender.
Inter defender Danilo D'Ambrosio deflected into the left corner after Cristiano Biraghi found him free in the box and second-half sub Lautaro Martinez drilled in a great drive from the distance on 74 minutes.
Inter have the league's best defence, with 36 goals conceded.
A Champions League quarter-final against Paris-Saint Germain awaits Atalanta on August 12. They are already qualified for the next elite campaign along with Juve, Inter and Lazio.
Juve and Napoli also have Champions League duty in August, when Inter and Roma battle in the Europa League. The Neapolitans qualified for the next lower-grade event by winning the Italian Cup.
Matchday 37 ends Wednesday with eight games programmed.
