Iran is untrustworthy for ensuring security of our embassy employees, Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov

“Suspension of diplomatic mission’s operations in any country is a serious matter. We let the Iranian side know that we do not trust Iran with respect to ensuring security of our embassy’s employees,” deputy foreign minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov has told journalists today.

“We informed the Iranian side many times about the threats for the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Iran. We demanded tightening security measures to this end. The incident occurred showed once more that Iran’s reaction to our demand was irresponsible,” Khalafov noted.
