Israeli expert: Azerbaijan is a true example of intercivilizational dialogue and geopolitical leader of South Caucasus
He said Azerbaijan was located in a very advantageous, but geopolitically complex and volatile region.
“Azerbaijan built and developed constructive relations with foreign countries,” he said.
On the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Mr. Gut said that for over 20 years Armenia had kept 20 percent of Azerbaijani lands under occupation, while more than one million Azerbaijanis became refugees and IDPs. He said it was official Yerevan`s non-constructive position that had impeded the settlement of the dispute so far.
The expert said Azerbaijan was one of the world centers in terms of tolerance and multiculturalism. He noted that representatives of different nations and religions had co-existed in peace in Azerbaijan over the centuries.
