Johnny Depp to direct his first movie in 25 years with Al Pacino as co-producer

Baku, August 16, AZERTAC

Johnny Depp will continue his journey as a film director alongside Al Pacino and Barry Navidi, according to Marca.

Depp previously co-directed The Brave, a movie from 1997 alongside Marlon Brando.

A quarter of a century after his last role as a director, Depp landed on a new project.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Johnny Depp will direct Modigliani.

The film will describe the life of Amedeo Modigliani.

Amedeo Modigliani was a painter, drawer, and sculptor known for his peculiar naked portraits.

The base of Johnny Depp's new project comes from the play by Dennis McIntyre and adapted by Jerzy and Mary Kromolowski.

The film will tell the story of the Italian artist while he was living in Paris in 1916.

"Modigliani navigates a turbulent and eventful 48 hours that will become a turning point in his life, ultimately solidifying his reputation as an artistic legend," The Hollywood Reporter mentioned.

There's no revealed cast -for now- for the new film project that Johnny Depp will direct.
