KAZAKHSTAN, NATO: CO-OP STRENGTHENING

Foreign ministry of Kazakhstan conducted in Almaty jointly with the NATO Department of liaison with public, an international conference on the topic: “NATO and the Central Asia: regional and national security, strategic partnership”. At the Forum, was participating representatives of the international organizations, teachers and experts of the higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan, as well as the diplomats arrived from the US, Germany, Spain, Kyrgyzia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

NATO is to keep under control the processes in the Central Asian region and take part in the anti-terror campaigns conducted in the Central Asia, Jose-Maria Lopez-Navarro, adviser of the Department of liaison said.

During two days, the conference participants discussed issues of development of relations among the states of the Central Asia and NATO, regional security, combat against international terrorism and other problems.
