KAZMUNAIGAS PRODUCED 6.5 MILLION TONNES OF OIL AND GAS CONDENSATE DURING JAN-OCT 2003
Uzenmunaigas OJSC, a subsidiary company of KazMunaiGas, during that period produced 4.4067 million tonnes of oil and gas condensate exceeding plan by 3.3% or 142 thousand tonnes.
Embamunaigas OJSC, also another subsidiary of KazMunaiGas produced 2.1756 million tonnes of oil and gas condensate also in excess of planned targets by 1.2% or 26.2 thousand tonnes. Production of gas totaled 969.1 million m3, 0.8% more than set target.
According to the press release, growth in production output of KazMunaiGas was possible thanks to significant and purposeful capital investment in production and measures to restore and optimize the system of development of the deposits.
In Jan-Oct 2003 KazMunaiGas paid into the state budget taxes totaling 61.465 billion tenge instead of the planned 55.963 billion tenge.
Oil supply for Jan-Oct totaled 6.475 million tonnes a growth of 5.2% year-on-year.
During the period under consideration, the Atyrau Oil Refinery OJSC refined 1.944 million tonnes of oil, including 1.541 million tonnes supplied by KazMunaiGas, which is an increase of 4.2% year-on-year. For that period the oil refinery produced 258 thousand tonnes of petrol, 598 thousand tonnes of diesel fuel and 697 thousand tonnes of mazut.
The total volume of oil transported along the pipelines managed by KazTransOil CJSC over the same period added up to 28.169 million tonnes, 1.9% in excess of planned targets and 13.8% more than the same period of 2002.
The total volume of gas transported along the major pipelines managed by Intergas Central Asia CJSC for the past 10 months of the current year totaled 96.92 billion m3, an increase of 6.2% to that transported during the same period of 2002. Internal transport accounted for 3617 million m3, international transit - 88470 million m3 and gas export transportation - 4834 million m3.
