K. GREWLICH: GERMANY IS INTERESTED IN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF AZERBAIJAN
On September 9, at news conference in Baku, Ambassador of Germany in Baku Klaus Grewlich stated that his country is interested in economic development of Azerbaijan According to the Ambassador, the most perspective direction of Azerbaijani economy are branches not related to oil industry and the Embassy of Germany is going on its activity on attraction of new investments and private business support in the country.
Grewlich pointed out the importance of projects within the framework of European Union programs INOGATE and TRACECA. “The EU programs are playing an important rope in economic development of Azerbaijan. It should be reminded that recently, a caravan of 10 trucks with humanitarian consignment crossed the TRACECA route. The relations between EU and Tran Caucasian countries are successfully developing and it meets foreign political line of Germany”, the Ambassador said.
In conclusion, Grewlich reminded that Trans Caucasus is situated very close to the EU border and European states, and Germany among them, are interested in providing stability and security in the region.
