Baku, October 26, AZERTAC
The Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan has published an article about Shahbulag Fortress near the city of Aghdam as part of the “Karabakh is the cradle of Azerbaijani culture” project.
AZERTAC presents the article.
“Shahbulag Fortress (castle) was built near the city of Aghdam in 1750-1752 at the request of Karabakh khan Panah-Ali Khan.
After the occupation of Aghdam district by the Armenian armed forces, Shahbulag Fortress became the most Armenianized one of our monuments.
Recently, the fortress was restored and is used as a church.”
