Karachi braces for Defence Industry Show IDEAS 2018

The 10th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) will take place at Karachi Expo Centre (KEC) from November 27-30, 2018, aimed at bringing together all the defense industry’s players across the globe to showcase the latest technological innovations.

The IDEAS 2018 is the 10th Edition of International Defence Exhibition and Seminar since 2000.

The IDEAS – biennially organized by Defence Export Promotion Organization (DEPO) in Pakistan – is one of the finest meeting points of the world defense industry for demonstrating, selling, joint venturing, outsourcing and technological collaboration in the Asian defense market.

The four-day eventful IDEAS 2018 is significantly being commemorated through enhanced participation of Pakistan armed forces, national and international defense industry, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), entrepreneurs and high level national and international defense delegations. Its new features are aimed to make IDEAS as an effective platform for defense buyers and sellers.

Ranked as one of the top international events with regard to participation by foreign delegations, the IDEAS 2018 is likely to be attended by high level defense delegations from friendly countries including Azerbaijan, Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine among many others, headed by ministers and heads of armed forces.

Besides, the participation of a number of defense technology organizations, academia, research & training institutes and defense analysts from around the globe is also likely.

Earlier in last IDEAS held in 2016, 427 exhibiting companies from 36 countries and 88 high level delegations headed by defense ministers, defense secretaries and heads of armed forces from 40 countries participated.
