Katie Taylor defeats Estelle Mossely for gold

Ireland's Katie Taylor won the women's boxing lightweight (57-60kg) gold medal, beating France's Estelle Mossely by unanimous decision on Saturday.

Two of judges scored the bout 40-36 with the third giving Taylor the victory by 39-37.

Taylor, the most successful female boxer of all time, can now add a European Games gold medal to her impressive collection of 17 major titles, which comprises golds from the London 2012 Olympic Games, five consecutive world championships, six consecutive European championships and five European Union championships.

Defeated semi-finalists Yana Alekseevnaof Azerbaijan and Germany's Tasheena Bugar took the bronze medals.
