LAW ON DELIMITATION OF CONTIGUOUS SECTORS OF CASPIAN SIGNED BY PUTIN
On July 3, President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin signed a federal law “On ratification of the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan “On delimitation of contiguous sectors of the Caspian Seabed”. It should be mentioned that the Agreement was signed in Moscow on September 23, 2002 during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev to Russia. The document has come into effect today and has the status of a federal law of the Russian Federation. The interstate document regulates the rules of sovereign rights related to mineral resources and other full-right economic activities in entrails utilization.
