LDPR leader Zhirinovsky buried in Moscow’s Novodevichy Cemetery

Vladimir Zhirinovsky, the leader of Russia’s LDPR party and member of all convocations of the State Duma (lower parliament house), was buried in Moscow’s Novodevichy Cemetery on Friday, according to TASS.
Zhirinovsky held a rank of retired colonel and was buried with military funeral honors.
Zhirinovsky’s funeral service was conducted by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia at Moscow’s Cathedral of Christ the Savior earlier on Friday.
Russian President Vladimir Putin bid his final farewell to Vladimir Zhirinovsky earlier in the day.
Zhirinovsky passed away on Wednesday at the age of 75 after a grave and prolonged illness. He had undergone treatment against the coronavirus infection at the Central Clinical Hospital since February 2.
