LONDON CONFERENCE ON “THE CASPIAN AND CENTRAL ASIA” COMMENCED
A conference, “The Caspian and Central Asia: stability and development” organized by the “Wilton Park” Center and Cambridge University’ program “Eurasia” was opened on October 13, in London, the Great Britain.
According to the OSCE office in Baku, reports were delivered by both OSCE Secretary General Ian Kubish and deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalaf Khalafov.
As was noted, the conference will revolve around the course of the Caspian legal status negotiations and political and economic future of the Caspian and Central Asian countries.
The conference will be addressed by deputy Foreign Minister, and special envoy of the President of the Russian Federation on the Caspian legal status issues Viktor Kaluzhniy, Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran, special envoy for the Caspian affairs Mehdi Safari, deputy Foreign Minister of the Great Britain Bill Rammel, deputy Prime Minister of Kirghizstan Joomart Otorbayev and others.
