Hungarian Laszla Toth has been elected as the President of the European Judo Union (EJU) at the organization`s Extraordinary Congress in Vienna.
He will replace German Otto Knaitinger, who served as president after the departure of Russian Sergei Soloveichik on February 27, 2022.
Toth has been a member of the EJU Executive Committee since 2002 and has been president of the Hungarian Judo Association for 24 years.
Delegates elected Austrian Martin Peuger as EJU General Secretary and Maltese Envik Galea as Treasurer of the Union. In addition, 9 of the 16 board members of the organization were elected. The duration of the new guidance has been calculated until December 2024.
