Lebanese newspaper publishes article about Azerbaijan

The Lebanese newspaper "Cedarnews" has published an article titled "Azerbaijan... The Pearl of the Caucasus opens its doors to the world" by the editor-in-chief and founder of the publication Michel El-Zbaidi.
The article was broadly circulated in many influential Lebanese news and information portals such as Ajel TV, An-Nahar, Lebanon24, Alseyasa, Elmarsad, Saidoun news, The arabs, Morakeb, and Lebanese news.
The author gives a brief overview on the history of Azerbaijan, describing it as a multicultural and tolerant country, and also provides an insight into the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Describing Azerbaijan as a land of tolerance, Michel El-Zbaidi says that people here have always cherished the traditions of kindness and respect for multi-ethnic coexistence for others.
The Lebanese journalist emphasizes that Azerbaijan is a country of freedom and human rights, adding that Azerbaijan is the first Muslim nation to grant women equal rights as men, even earlier than many Western countries, including the UK and USA.
The author also highlights the Azerbaijani people's struggle for freedom, saying "The homeland of a struggling nation never dies. The flag of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic began to wave again in the sky above Baku in 1991.”
Michel El-Zbaidi underlines the latest achievements of the country under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, saying that “The road infrastructure, international airports and the largest port in the Caspian Sea have been renewed, renovation and construction works in the fields of energy, education, medicine and other spheres are underway.” He also emphasizes Azerbaijan's role in ensuring the energy security of Europe.
The Lebanese journalist draws the readers` attention to President Ilham Aliyev`s remarks on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement, saying that Azerbaijan will return its territories occupied by Armenia.
Michel El-Zbaidi describes Azerbaijan as the country where peace and stability prevail, saying it has become one of the key tourist destinations and mostly visited places for Arabs in recent years.
