Lithuanian journalists meet with IDPs settled in Masazir settlement

Lithuanian journalists Adeanas Praleika and Romualdas Jurgaitis, who are visiting Azerbaijan, accompanied by Fuad Huseynov, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, and Ramiz Hasanov, head of the Executive Authorities of Zangilan District, met with the Azerbaijani refugees and IDPs living in the block built for 760 IDPs in the Masazir settlement.
The journalists who came to write about Azerbaijan, as well as the plight of refugees and internally displaced persons in the country, and the realities about the measures taken by the state to improve their social and living conditions, were given comprehensive information about the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, and the problems of IDPs expelled from their homes as a result of this conflict.
The journalists were informed that 95 high-rise residential buildings with social and technical infrastructure, several settlements were built and living conditions of 250 000 IDPs were improved in various districts of the country.
Then, the Lithuanian journalists got familiarized with conditions created for teachers and students of Zangilan 540-seat secondary school No.33 and the conditions created at the “Shafag” kindergarten of Zangilan District.
The journalists also reviewed the apartments of IDPs, familiarized themselves with their living conditions.
