Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko is set to take part in a plenary session of the 1st Forum of Regions of Belarus and Ukraine in Gomel on 26 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
It is expected that the event will be attended by Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko. The two heads of state are also set to meet one-on-one ahead of the forum. The talks will focus on trade development, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries through the potential of direct contacts at the regional level. The two states are expected to sign a number of documents and conclude agreements aimed at the expansion of cooperation in a wide range of areas of mutual interest.
