MODERN CYNOLOGICAL CENTER OPEN IN BAKU

The up-to-date Cynological Center founded by the State Customs Committee in association with World Customs Organization has begun functioning for the first time in Azerbaijan to train dogs for searching drugs, weapons and ammunition, people injured in natural disasters etc. The opening ceremony of the Center situated in the Baku settlement of Mashtagha was attended by Chairman of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of the Azerbaijan Republic Kamaladdin Heydarov, World Customs Organization (WCO) Secretary General Michel Dane, UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Marco Borsotti and Head of the State Frontier Service Elchin Guliyev.

So far, 33 dogs are kept at the Center envisioned for 100.
