Memory book about coup attempt issued in Turkey

General Directorate of Press and Information of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkey has issued a memory book on adherence of the Turkish nation to democracy during prevention of a coup attempt on July 15. The book is dedicated to the memory of heroes, who died during the prevention of the coup attempt.
The cover page of the book depicts a piece of marble stone, which fell from the building of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey bombarded by rebels on July 15.
The memory book highlights that fire was opened at state organisations and emphasizes adherence of the Turkish nation to values of democracy.
The memory book titled “Terrorism is a crime against humanity” also imprints the following words – “A piece of marble fallen from the building of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey that was bombarded by Fethullah Gülen terror organization (FETO) is a symbol of Turkey’s adherence to democracy”.
240 people died and 2,200 were injured during the coup attempt back in 2016.
After an address to the nation by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan the population of the country crowded the streets and squares preventing the coup attempt.
The Turkish nation demonstrated to the whole world adherence to the values of democracy.
