Moscow hosts 18th session of CIS Council of Heads of Supreme Audit Institutions

The Council of Heads of Supreme Audit Institutions of the CIS Member Countries held its 18th session in Moscow.

Vugar Gulmammadov, Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts of Azerbaijan Republic took part at the event.

Alexey Kudrin, Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation, highlighted the agenda, assessing the activity of state audit subjects, the development of cooperation and increasing efficiency in this area, as well as bilateral cooperation of member countries in this field. Kudrin praised the previous (17th ) session of the Council hosted in Baku, noting it was organized at the highest level, and thanked the Azerbaijani side for successful presidency.

Vugar Gulmammadov made a report on the Council’s activity, covering the full activities of the state audit subjects in the past period.

Note, the presidency at the Council of Heads of Supreme Audit Institutions of the CIS Member Countries for the next year passes to the Russian federation.

“The role of ICT in improving efficiency of public administration” was the main theme of the session.

In the sideline of session, Vugar Gulmammadov met with his counterpart, chairman of the Chamber of Accounts of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulukbek Maripov, to discuss cooperation issues and signed an agreement in this regard.
