    NAKHCHIVAN TO GET FIRST GAS IN NOVEMBER

    Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic will get natural gas beginning from November, spokesman of the “Arerigas” JSC said.

    Reportedly, all the construction works in Nakhchivan and Iran in this connection are complete to date.

    The project, partially funded by “Azerigas” JSC, (some AZM 140 bln of total AZM 260 bln) will let Nakhchivan get from Iran 350 mln cubic meters of gas yearly.

    Azerbaijan will return the said volume of gas to Iran via the Hajiqabul-Astara gas pipeline.

    Nakhchivan will get 52 mln cubic meters of gas this year.

    In 2006 and 2007 the volume of received gas will be 250 mln and 350 mln cubic meters respectively.
