NEGOTIATIONS ON CASPIAN STATUS ENDED IN ASHGABAD
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Turkmenistan Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov and heads of the delegations in their speeches noted that favorable ground for full preparation of the project has been created.
The parties adopted a final resolution.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov said to AzerTAj correspondent: “The sides had overall exchange of views on all regulations of the Convention and made statements. I could say that agreements on numerous principle issues were achieved. If work to be continued in such way, we could achieve full coordination of the project Convention at the next sessions”.
Apart from the Caspian legal status Convention, work over the documents covering other sections of the sea is going on. Work over framework Convention for ecology is ending and a relevant document is expected to be signed in Teheran, November 2003.
The 12th session of the working group will be held in Teheran, December 9-10.
