Following the Borchali (Kvemo Kartli), Georgia, Governor Levan Mamaladze’s in view of his nomination for Georgian Parliament, in accordance with the relevant regulations, his deputies have resigned consequently. New Governor Zurab Kobiashvili has recently appointed his deputies. The region leader has just one deputy of Azerbaijani origin: Azer Suleymanov, deputy of the Georgian Parliament worthily representing here Azerbaijanis, in particular, as for the issues related to the notorious Armenian genocide. According to Zurab Kobiashvili, taking into consideration prevalence of Azerbaijanis in the region and exceptional services in restoration of the economy one more deputy-Azerbaijani is expected to be appointed.
