Baku, May 8, AZERTAC
Olympic bronze medallist Evaldas Petrauskas will lead Lithuania's boxers at Baku 2015.
The 23-year-old Petrauskas, who won bronze at London 2012, was one of seven boxers named by the Lithuanian NOC to the Baku 2015 European Games - six of them for the men's field and one female boxer.
The 2010 Summer Youth Olympic champion Petrauskas won the London 2012 bronze at 60kg, but he will compete at Baku 2015 at 64kg.
"For four years it is impossible to maintain weight, and it is very difficult to give up the weight psychologically. That's why after the Olympics, I decided to move up to the next category," Petrauskas was quoted as telling 15min.LT.
The other boxers nominated are Edgaras Skurdelis (60kg), European silver medallist Eimantas Stanionis (69kg), Tomas Pivarunas (75kg), Tadas Tamasauskas (91kg), Mantas Valavicius (+91kg) and Ana Starovoitova (women's 54kg).
