The ceremony of awarding the winners of the photo-contest devoted to socio-economic development of Azerbaijan and opening the exhibition of the pictures made by the contest participants was held in Baku.

The contest organized by the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Tourism was held from 1 to 30 September within the IV forum of Azerbaijani youth.

In his address, deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Tourism Intigam Babayev noted that the main objective of the contest is to fulfill goals arising from the presidential decree “On Measures to Accelerate Socio-Economic Development in Azerbaijan Republic ” and state program on socio-economic development of regions of the Azerbaijan Republic as well as popularization of achievements in the agriculture, economy and other accomplishments in socio-economic development in the regions.

Shamil Talybov (Baku) secured the first spot while Murad Salimov (Guba) – second and Agidas Abagirzadeh (Baku) – third. The winners received diplomas and money prize. Other participants were awarded incentive prizes.
