PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN ILHAM ALIYEV MET PRIME MINISTER OF BANGLADESH KHALED ZIYA RAHMAN
President Ilham Aliyev highlighted Ms. Khaled Ziya Rahman on the ongoing processes in the last ten years in the country in the filed of economic development.
Head of the Azerbaijani state dwelt on the hardest problem of the Country – the continuing since 1988 Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno Karabakh conflict and its heavy sequences. He noted that as a result of the aggression by Armenia was occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan’s territories, over one million of people live in unbearable conditions as refugees and internally displaced people. President Ilham Aliyev expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for support by Bangladesh the position of Azerbaijan in the frame of the United Nations.
Prime Minister Khaled Ziya Rahman congratulated Ilham Aliyev on his election as the President of Azerbaijan. She recalled that during the soviet times many students from Bangladesh have studied in Azerbaijan, and now as high qualified specialists labor in the numerous fields of economy of he country. “We wish to continue this tradition”, the Prime Minister stressed.
Ms. Khaled Ziya Rahman gave a high assessment to the comprehensive speech of President Ilham Aliyev at the Summit, noting that large investment flow to Azerbaijan is the result of fruitful activity of the government, congratulated the head of the Azerbaijani state with success.
Ms. Khaled Ziya Rahman invited President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to pay an official visit to Bangladesh. The invitation was accepted.
The Presidents also had exchange of views on a number of issues of mutual interest.
