With the sense of deep sorrow and sadness, I learnt of the news on the demise of the outstanding son of Azerbaijan people Heydar Alirza oglu Aliyev.

Following the passing of this unique state and political figure promoted by the centuries-old history of Azerbaijan we have just one consolation – independence of Azerbaijan which was created and developed by unforgettable Heydar Alirza oglu is firm. With this consolation, I express my deep condolence to you, your family and all the people of Azerbaijan and wish tolerance.
