PRESIDENT STRENGTHENS SOCIAL PROTECTION OF MILITARY STAFF OF DEFENSE MINISTRY
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev issued a decree on strengthening of social protection of the military staff of the Defense Ministry on which the head of state doubled the salary of the mentioned staff on military ranks since 1 January 2006.
President Aliyev assigned relevant state departments and structures to prepare and submit within two months to the President of Azerbaijan appropriate proposals on raise of monthly wages of the military staff of the Defense Ministry.
The presidential decree also envisions insurance and mortgage privileges for the militaries.
