PROJECT “BLUE FAIENCE OF SAMARKAND” PREPARED

UNESCO Office in Uzbekistan has prepared a number of projects to protect cultural wealth of this country. Head of UNESCO Representation Office Barri Lain told that the most interesting among these projects is “Blue faience of Samarkand”. He thinks that they will be able to learn the secrets of traditional Uzbek faience, adorning ancient monuments in Samarkand, Bukhara, Khivan.

Other interesting projects deal with collection of folklore and ancient national songs in the distant villages of Uzbekistan, creation of Internet in these villages.
