‘Perlis State of Malaysia is interested in developing cooperation with Azerbaijan’

Kuala Lumpur, January 27, AZERTAC

“Perlis State of Malaysia is interested in developing cooperation with Azerbaijan,” said Menteri Besar of Perlis Dato' Seri Azlan Man as he met with Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to the country Galey Allahverdiyev.

They discussed how to develop economic and trade relations between Azerbaijan and Perlis.

Dato' Seri Azlan Man recalled his visit to Azerbaijan in 2012. He highlighted the social and economic development of the state. He emphasized the favourable business climate in the state, and invited Azerbaijani businessmen to invest in the economy of Perlis and participate in the projects. Dato' Seri Azlan Man stressed the importance of reciprocal visits of the two countries` businessmen.

The Azerbaijani ambassador also visited Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) and delivered a lecture on the statehood activity of Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev, history and culture of the country, Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as Azerbaijan-Malaysia relations.

Rector of the university Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra recalled his visit to Azerbaijan, and hailed the beauty of Baku.

Then “Discover Azerbaijan” exhibition opened in the library of the university.
