Permanent representatives of OSCE participating states visit Azerbaijan’s parliament

Permanent representatives of the OSCE participating states have visited Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis to meet with Deputy Speaker, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Bahar Muradova. She underlined the importance of the OSCE delegation’s visit to the South Caucasus countries in terms of thoroughly studying the ongoing processes in the region.
The deputy speaker noted that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to cooperation with the OSCE.
Permanent Representative of France to the OSCE Veronique Roger-Lacan described Azerbaijan as a member state that plays an important role in promoting the OSCE values. She expressed the organization’s keenness to enhance cooperation with Azerbaijan.
Other participants of the meeting hailed Azerbaijan-OSCE bilateral relations, saying the visit will make a significant contribution to the expansion of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the organization.
The meeting also featured discussions on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The Azerbaijani officials stressed the fact that Azerbaijan’s Nagorno-Karabakh and seven adjacent districts were occupied by the Armenian armed forces, that the ethnic cleansing policy was conducted against the Azerbaijanis, and more than one million Azerbaijanis became refugees and IDPs.
