Press Association CEO elected EANA president
Split, September 26 (AZERTAC). Chief Executive Officer of British Press Association Clive Marshall has been elected president of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) at its General Assembly in Split, Croatia.
Mr. Marshall won a two-year term in a competition against Acting Director and Editor-in-Chief of Cyprus` CNA agency George Penintaex.
Addressing the event, outgoing EANA President, CEO of Austrian Press Agency Peter Kropsch thanked member agencies of the alliance for supporting him during his presidential tenure.
Director General of Croatian news agency HINA Branka Gabriela Valentic was elected a member of the EANA Board for a three year term.
The spring conference of the alliance will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria.
A delegation of Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AZERTAC) is attending the event.
