Project of socio-economic empowerment and gender education for women - victims of domestic violence in Azerbaijan presented

Baku, February 18 (AZERTAC). A project of socio-economic empowerment and gender education for women – victims of domestic violence in Azerbaijan has been presented. 

The project was initiated by State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Azerbaijan, European Commission, United Nations Population Fund

(UNFPA), International Migration Organization and Azerbaijan Lawyers Confederation. 

The project focuses on women`s rights and is aimed at strengthening women`s economic security and protecting women against violence.

The project will enhance women`s socio-economic potential, provide shelters for domestic violence victims, and assist the government in preventing domestic violence against women by carrying out gender enlightenment in society.
