“For me, it is a great honor to be near to the outstanding leader of the Caspian region - President Heydar Aliyev. Everyone will confirm that His Excellency Heydar Aliyev made courageous decisions during the hard periods for the Caspian region. Thus, Azerbaijan is the country answering to all-round interests of the United States. President Aliyev as the skilful statesman, has realized various pipelines, rendered us assistance in progress which we have reached in creation of the East – West corridor. Without a firm position of President Aliyev, without Azerbaijan people, I would tell, there would be neither the pipeline of Baku-Novorossiysk nor the Baku-Supsa pipeline.

The role of President Aliyev was the basic in our work connected last months with the Baku-Ceyhan pipeline. Thanks to him, on April 13, we could sign in Istanbul the joint document ”.
