ROLE OF AZERBAIJAN CONSTITUTION IN BUILDING NEW SOCIETY FOCUSED

On 13 November, chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan Farad Abdullayev met with the member of Great National Assembly of Turkey, deputy chairman of the commission Atilla Koch, who is visiting Baku to participate at the international symposium dedicated to the Day of Constitution.

As stated, the guest congratulated Mr. Farhad Abdullayev with the Day of Constitution, one of the national holidays of Azerbaijani state, informed on the achievements gained by Turkey in this field.

Touching upon the activity of the Constitution Court, as a supervisor Constitutional body of Turkey, the guest spoke of powers of the said structure and its role in democratization of legislation.

Expressing gratitude to Atilla Koch, for warm congratulations, chairman of the Constitutional Court dwelt on the contributions made by the Constitution of Azerbaijan to formation of new society. He also spoke of the jurisdiction of the Fundamental Law, created in conformity with the European standards.

Rector of the Caucasus University in Baku Erol Oral attended the meeting.
